Q: Can I request m daughter to cheer for her brother's football team?
A: Yes. She will be assigned to the team that her brother has been drafted by.
Q: Can I request my daughter to be on the same team as a friend?
A: Yes. However, if both friends have brothers that will be drafted, then
each girl will be placed on their brother’s team (if requested). Please note,
friend requests cannot be guaranteed due to the chance of sibling requests
that may fill up a squad. Your daughter may request to be place on a team
with a friend. That friend. in turn, MUST request your daughter. If there are
2 or more requests, you must provide an eligible coach for your squad. See
the request form located under FORMS. Note: There are no friend or sibling
requests for the All Star division.
Q: When will I hear from my daughter’s coach?
A: You should hear from your coach by August 8. If not, please contact
the Board of Directors at sportscheer@yahoo.com
Q: Why does it take so long to find out what team my daughter is on?
A: Cheer squads cannot be finalized until the football draft is completed.
The draft takes place the first week in August and we need to
accommodate for sibling requests.
Q: What if my daughter cannot attend the summer camps?
A: No problem. The camps are voluntary and are not required for league
participation. The camps teach technique which helps build cheer skiils.
Q: How will I know if practices or games are cancelled?
A: Cheerleading will be teaming up with football this year on their One Call
Service. Parents will be notified by automated phone call with any changes to
the schedule. Or you may call the Weather Line: 845-5582 ext. 304
Q: Who should I contact if my daughter is hurt during practice or
a game?
A: Notify your coach who will fill out an accident report.
Q: When are the football games and how long do they last?
A: Games are scheduled on Saturdays and some weekday evenings under
the lights. Games last approximately 1 hour and Cheerleaders need to be at
the field 15 minutes before game time..
